INSPIRATION FROM A TINY SOURCE!
I've been helping out a longtime family friend this week. My UEA (unpaid executive assistant aka
husband ) and his best friend Ave go way back, like back to before college. Anyway, Ave has been out of work for quite some time and has been taking care of his daughters baby. Last week he go a job and baby Sullivan needed some place to stay! Yep, that's right Sullivan has been hanging out with me and my stamp room has been bouncing for the last 2 days!
That's Sullivan in his bouncy chair. He loves to bounce, it makes me tired just watching him! I was thinking how lucky his mom was and I decided to make some cards for the tiny babies at Rex Hospital. My friend Arlene works in the Neo-natal ICU and she is going to put them on the incubators during Valentine's.
While he was napping today I tried to learn how to watermark my photos. Sullivan is not really copyrighted by SU! :0)

IT'S RAG TIME!
RAG BAG TIME to be exact! I made this using my Big Shot. It was so easy, no pattern, three colors of fabric, just a bunch of squares cut with the scallop square die, some batting and a button! Sew the squares together and add straps! Admit it you want a Big Shot to call your own!

WHERE DOES THE TIME GO??
I haven't posted in a few days, have had some tramua going on here at the house. One of my cats (aka my boys) has been sick. As everyone knows these things only happen at the craziest times, like 4:30 in the morning....anyway. Factors, like lack of sleep, a couple of hours at the vet, stress, and watching the $$ fly out of my checking account seemed to take a toll on my creativity this week. As I sat in the vets office, I couldn't help thinking wow, SAL-A-Bration starts in less than 48 hrs, and it's a good thing it lasts until, March 31st! I'll get new stuff later! Here's my brave boy at the vet, he thinks no one can see him since he is hiding in my coat. LOL!
So feeling better today (both me & the cat), I pulled out my stamp set Filled with Love from the Bundle offered last month and a set from the big catalog Sweetheart and set about a stampin' frenzy with a friend of mine and here are our cards from these sets! I love them! Stampin' with a friend is good thearpy!

Filled with Love is no longer available but you could use the Bold Blossom stamp set #122232 from the new Occasions catalog to make the heart flowers in the center. Here's what we used to make these cards,
Sweetheart Stamp Set #120780, Real Red Card stock #102482, designer paper, Love Impressions
# 121780, Glimmer paper
(oh why didn't it come in pink too?) #121790, the leaves were stamped on Pear Pizazz card stock #119797, with Versa Mark #102283, the black lace was left over from the Holiday Mini!
I'd rather use left over ribbon and still be able to snuggle my boy!
I started an new project with my big shot, hopefully, barring no disasters on my part, I'll be able to show it to you tomorrow. It involves cloth and biggie......stay tuned.

JANUARY STAMP CLUB PROJECTS
This months stamp club made the cards above. It was fabulous fun, using some new products from the MINI OCCASIONS Catalog. The card on the left used Valentine Defined #123057 with color card stock combos of Pretty in Pink(imagine that), Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz. I also used Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die #120903 from the holiday mini catalog (you can still order this), Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit # 117332 and 1 1/4" Striped Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon,
The middle card uses The Movers and Shapers die #114506, Springtime Vintage designer paper #121783, Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim #118480 and Vintage Flower Adornment #121879.
The last card uses Peach Parfait, Melon Mambo, and Pear Pizazz card stock. The flower and leaves were stamped with Versa Mark pad #102283 and punched out with the new Blossoms Petals Punch #121808 and of course no card of mine escapes "Biggie" so I used the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #121809.
MY NEW STAMP CLUB BEGINS in March, sign up now, only 3 spaces left! To join contact me for details and dates.
HAPPY STAMPING!

OPEN HOUSE WAS SO MUCH FUN!
I had such a good time yesterday! I saw old friends and met new! I AM SO GLAD EVERYONE CAME OUT TO STAMP! Here's a picture of the projects we made yesterday!
The BIG SHOT (aka Biggie) won the hearts of everyone! We made that fabulous orange flower pin with Biggie and the XL Flower Fold die. I think I am going to make some that aren't pins and tie them to my luggage. Well, it's a good idea but, that probably isn't necessary, since my luggage is brown with big turquiose polka dots and a turquiose bow. It is always easy to find and hasn't got lost once. :o) I'm sure to find lots of other uses for these beauties. Anyway, I am so glad I got to send the day stamping and hanging out with my friends. Thank you to everyone who was here! Inky Hugs to all of you!

EAT CHOCOLATE!!!!
I just had to play with my new stamp set "EAT CHOCOLATE". The new mini catalog is just too full of fun stamps. I want it all! Here's how I made my card:
I cut my base card from soft suede and of course I cut it a little short (I must have meant to do that, cause it was a happy mistake!) so I used my scallop edged punch and punched the end of the soft suede all the way across, added another punched strip of very vanilla. The designer paper layers are from the Elegant Soiree paper pack (love it). I used my ex-large scallop punch to punch out the scalloped circle in Baja Breeze, sponged the edges of it with baja ink. I stamped my saying on very vanilla with Early Expresso ink twice, cut one out with my 1.75" circle punch, cut out the chocolate candy on the other one and using dimensionals, popped it up, colored in the hearts with my poppy parade marker and used Smooch Pearlized Top Coat to make it shiny(ah, bling) added a few of SU's new satin roses to the DSP and a strip of satin Early Expresso taffeta ribbon. Has anyone noticed that the Early Expresso taffeta looks just like our favorite retired Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon??? Okay, maybe not exactly, but very, very close to it! Anyway, that makes me HAPPY!
