It's not pink! Really it's not!

Now those of you who know me know that I think in pink! I love pink flowers, pink shirts, pink flamingos, well let's keep this short and just say I love anything pink. When my co-worker approached me to make a sweet 16 birthday card, I naturally said , sure I can do it, you want it to be pink right? After a minutes hesitation, she said, "actually, I was wanting it to be purple". My heart fell down to my knees, sweat was popping up in all the wrong places, I swallowed hard and squeaked, sure, when do you need it by? Can you have it by Monday 9/27 she asked? Sure, I said and wandered off. How do you make a special moment card and it not be PINK! That was on Thursday, I thought purple, and I thought, more purple.....finally, I was out of time! I just had to make this special card in purple.... after much purple procrastination here it is!

I've been Stampin' most of the day!

Today has been one of those fun fabulous Stampin' Days! A couple of my friends dropped by to stamp and hang out! It was so much fun! Here are my 2 favorite cards from today.

The 1st card is made using the stamp set Autumn Slendor (#116503) using the Rock and Roll technique, more mustard card stock (#100946), textured river rock card stock(#119944), whisper white cardstock (#100730), ink pads, peach parfait, crumb cake and poppy parade.

The Christmas card is made with the stamp set Bells & Boughs (pg 19 of the Holiday mini # 121142) using the Vintage Wallpaper texture plate (#120175) with wild wasabi card stock with the 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (#109052) and wild wasabi stamp pad , real red ink pad, and the pear pizzazz ink pad with blender pens. The final touch was made using Multipurpose liquid glue (#110755) with Dazzling Diamonds (a girls' best friend #102023) Glitter.

Please contact me if you have any questions about these super fun cards.

Watercolor Class

Here's a card from my water color class last night. We had a very relaxing time aqua painting this card with some fall colors ( it is still in the 90's here, but surely fall is coming soon).
We ran watercolor paper (#105019) thru the big shot with the Manhattan flower embossing folder(#114517).
Then colored it with aqua painters (#103954) and reinkers Daffodil Delight and Tango Tangerine. To put this card together, we mounted the water color paper on Tangerine Tango card stock and mounted that on a card base of Daffodil Delight.

This card looks hard but this was super easy. I heard someone say "I'm keeping this card for myself".

Happy Stampin'

Get Well Veronica!

Wow, my friend Veronica is really sick with a nasty cold. She recently hosted a Stampin' Up party and got 2 hostess sets and $65 in free merchandise from her party. Her big box of goodies arrived a few days ago and she didn't even have the energy to open it. Oh my goodness, how could this happen to such a nice talented person as Veronica? Knowing how much she loved Stampin' Up, I was sure she wasn't going to make it, since that box of really cool, neato SU stuff was unopened. I jumped in my little VW bug, went to the store bought several different kinds of juice/Gatorade and went over to make sure it wasn't so.....yep there she was a box of unopened free stuff, and looking kinda sickly...well, I gave her lots of fluids, opened up that box of FREE stuff and then it happened.....she seemed to feel better. I'm sure it was my imagination, but when I left she was fondling one of her many free stamp sets and smiling. Can't wait for her to get well so "we"(as in me and her) can play with her new toys. When I got home I was inspired to make these Get Well Cards! Now, to decide which one to send her. Get Well Veronica!

Can you believe it???

I have finally, finished the last thank you and wedding favor! One of my club members told me last week that I had been working this wedding since she had met me. After, club was over, I thought about it and even though I had only met her a few months ago, she was right. I really haven't been working all the time on this project, it was just done in batches. If you have ever paid for a wedding, you know it's not really cheap and I was doing it as the bride to be could afford. I admit, I have know exactly what needed to be done to be finished for about a month and instead of tackling it head on, well, ah, OK....the new holiday mini came out, my order came in with all my new toys and then it was.....what wedding? After my reality check at club, I got busy this weekend and finished everything!

Here is the original sample for the invitations. The bride to had this made into a photo, and sent it out with her wedding date on the back. Then I made the RSVP, and the invitations, that she sent out 2 weeks
later. She had almost every one RSVP.

Here are the pictures of the finished favors and Thank yous!
Well since I have finished this project, I am off to play with my new Christmas stamps. The smell of new rubber stamps makes me stamp happy! They are so sad in that unstamped state.

Stampin' every day whether I need to or not,

Is It fall Yet?

I can't wait for the weather to cool off! I'm stampin' fall cards in 90 degree weather and some how it just doesn't seem right. Maybe, just one or too days of cool weather and I'd feel like fall is really on it's way.My stampin' sister Arlene and I were stampin' last weekend and came up with these really fabulous cards, using our favorite stamp set Totally Tess!
Tess is totally into the fall and is all decked out for Halloween. To make these cards we used stamps Totally Tess (118595), Wicked Cool(120600), Stampin' glitter (114286 & 114287) and from the Holiday Mini the brand new black waffle paper (120985).
