OH "BIGGIE" HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU!

14 DAYS and no Bigshot! YIKES! I thought, if I packed a few stamp sets, my ink spots, a few papers and a few punches, I'd be able to rough it. I'd promised my husband I would only take 2 small bags with me. Let me say, I have been without "Biggie" for almost 5 days before when his handle broke. My husband knocked it off the table and he didn't want me to know (I knew with the hour) he called Sizzix to order me a new handle, he told them I had bought it from Stampin' Up less than a year ago. WHO KNEW THAT THEY HAVE SUCH A GREAT WARRANTY! They said the handle was backordered and I should have one within 2 weeks. My stampin' sister Arlene let me borrow hers, she knew I'd never make it without one. In exactly 10 business days, FEDEX was knocking on my door and handed me a huge box from sizzix. Wow, what a big box for such a small handle, I thought. WRONG! The handle was still on back order and they had sent me a brand new BIGSHOT, it had PINK and BLING on it. I was so excited! PINK & BLING, oh how ME!

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?

A WHITE TIE AFFAIR!

This post is not for the weak at heart. If you think you can handle it, then trudge on and check out the card I just made from the brand new set Punch Bunch.   New Set????   Oh yeah, and the best part about this set is there is a coordinating punch for all of the stamps.  Can you believe it?   A set of 5 stamps, each with a coordinating punch.   WOW, too bad you can't buy it!    THERE ARE 3 EASY WAYS TO EARN THIS SET:

  1. SPEND $50 and earn one free Sale-A-Bration product of your choice.  This starts Jan 25th and ends March 31, 2011.
  2. HOST a workshop of at least $300 and earn one free Sale-A-Bration product in addition to the generous hostess benefits.
  3. JOIN Stampin'UP! by becoming a demonstrator during Sale-A-Bration and get 15% off your Starter Kit. Plus, get a bonus bundle filled with over $50 in free products.
Here is the card, check out that lady owl, she has real eyelashes!  I took SU Satin black ribbon, split it in half, unraveled it and pasted it to the back of her eyelids.    I also used the Love Impressions Rub-ons that is available for purchase from the new Occasions Mini Catalog beginning Jan.4th   If you subscribe to my newsletter and gave me your address, you should get your.s in the mail along with the Sale-A-Bration catalog any day now!   Contact me if you need a catalog!

IT'S MY STUFF AND I'M TAKING IT WITH ME!

WHY are the holidays so stressful?    My husband and I had to go out of town for a few days to take care of some family things.  Last time, I didn't take any Stampin' Up products with me and I was so miserable!   Now, those of you who stamp with me, know that I stamp everyday, whether I need to or not.  This time I brought a few stamps and my CLASSIC STAMPIN' SPOTS and I've been having a blast..    Stamping spots are like tiny stamp pads (check them out on pg 194 of the cataglog) and you can take all the colors with you!    They are also fabulous to get started with when you are a new stamper or just stamping on the go!  The best thing about spots are when your hubby says "you're not going to take all that stuff with you again, are you?",  you can honestly say, of course not just 2 small bags, I promise!    Here are the cards I've made so far using  two of my favorite stamp sets, SENSE of TIME (pg. 127; #113804, $22.95) , HAPPINESS SHARED (pg. 100; #120534, $12.95)  and French Foliage from the Holiday Mini (pg. 14; #121166, $14.95) .
Happy Stamping!

OH MY! I FOUGHT IT LIKE LIONS, TIGERS AND BEARS!

Somehow, my plans just went wrong!   Look, before you start going...."I knew she couldn't do it!"  I just want you to know I did put up my Christmas toys and they are still put away.   The thing is, I went to a friend house last night to drop something off,  she is also a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, and it was her Club night.  Who knew?  Well, she begged me (okay maybe she said do you want) to make the club cards with us.  WOOHOO, I went sliding into the chair, scattering people as I jumped at the chance to make on last (I'm serious) Christmas card.  Sorry, maybe her customers should practice musical chairs if they want to beat me to the table!   Any, here it is in all of it's Fabulous Christmas Glory!

The other card wasn't Christmas, it was a New Year's card, I'll
be making it with my club, so I can't share it just yet.
Gotta run, my punch class people are arriving.

OH NO! MY LAST & FAVORITE CHRISTMAS CARD FOR 2010!

With Christmas just 20 some days away, I need to put my cards in the mail, so it is time to put away my Christmas toys (so sad).  I love this time of year, and my inner "self" who keeps me in trouble, wants to keep
stampin'.  Good bye until next fall my precious stamps! I need to move on to those unfinished Christmas projects.  I have started a wreath with SU's material and it would be nice to get it on the door before the new 2011  OCCASIONS catalog ARRIVES Jan.4th!!!!
My last card used, Cherry Cobbler card stock for the base, Deck the Halls dsp, and then whisper white paper.   Stamps used were Dasher & Tree trimings , the tree was made with the palm leaf stamp from the retired **Tropical Party** set from the summer mini, Garden geen craft ink and Iridescent embossing powder, Tinsel clear trim and glitter brads.

**Tropical Party maybe retired but will never leave my forever collection**   Some stamps were meant to be kept forever and this one is in my forever collection.
What Stamps are in your forever collection? I'd love to share some of your cards you made with your forever stamps.  Please email me your cards and I will try to post them all on SUNDAY!   We'll call it Sunday Sharing what you Love!

November 30, 2010
Great news! The Watercolor Wonder Crayons are now available for purchase.  The Watercolor Wonder Crayons were delayed due to a relocation of our supplier. SU now has inventory and you can start ordering today!
When you  receive your Watercolor Wonder Crayons, you may notice that some of the crayon sleeves feature old artwork on them. This does not affect the quality of the crayons; we simply need to deplete inventory of crayons with the old artwork before we use crayons featuring the new artwork.

It's Monday already? How did that happen?

Wow! I can't believe it is Monday already.   Where did that 4 day weekend go?  I don't want it to be over because,  I've been given a challenge by a friend.   Well, I am suppose to go to one of the oh so many craft blogs and pick a challenge and make the card and post it.   The first Monday challenge, was to make a card with at least 10 flowers on it, in different ways.  'Self' said to me, get over it, you know you aren't into that kind of card, lets look for another one we can BLING IT UP!    Now bling is one of my favorite things to put on my cards, so back to the list of Monday challenges.   Oh my, there were 96 more Monday challenges.  I told my 'self' that I was going to do the first one we looked at EVEN if we were stepping out of our warm fuzzy comfort zone.
Okay, it was done, picture uploaded and ready to post.  Then I thought, I can't post that, and so I waited, finally I decided, ok, I made the silly card and I'm posting it.  Time to move on, make something with some bling, pink bling, that"ll make me happy, happy!   Seriously, I'm not making up this, the internet was down, then the power went out.   So with out anymore delays here is my Monday challenge.   Maybe, if I had made it pink I would like it better.
So, I am off to bling it up with some pink!
Happy Stampin' from outside my warm fuzzy comfort zone!

My favorite pink Christmas Card & How to get what you really want for Christmas!

Todays' PINK and fabulous card is from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set (120633) you might want to put this on your wishlist. I used Regal Rose card stock and ink and the Snowflake embossing folder. I can't believe I forgot how very cool Regal Rose card stock and ink was.....so sorry but my new favorite is, yes, you guessed it, REGAL ROSE. Lucky for you, I only had 4 sheets of it or I'm sure the next 3 cards I post would be REGAL ROSE! I just love this card, even if I did make it!
Onward and forward....Some pink princess tips on how to get only what you want for Christmas.

Okay, I always get what I want for Christmas. Sometimes, I just make up my want list and email it to all my friends and family. I tell them if you don't want to give me a gift, but know someone who would, feel free to pass my list on to that person! I will say that when you send out a Christmas list in April, or say even June, that they laughed at me, so now I have scaled back a bit!

I wait until the day after Halloween. Then the trick is to resend it every few days. Finally, (this is especially true with my hubby) they will get the message that if it is not on the list, you might not want a gift that is not listed. I even put that cheery info at the top of my list. I usually say, "if it isn't on this list, then I don't want it and will return it or sell it on ebay".
So lets get started on your list! Click on the side bar, browse the current catalog and the holiday mini catalog! If you would like a catalog please email me and I will send you a free copy! Fill in your wish list, and send it to your selected loved ones and friends. Do not be afraid to give a copy to your children to give to your hubby, mom, sister, or brother. Seriously, this works, I have even tied it around the cats collar. I started this before I joined the stampin' up sisterhood, and one year my hubby was able to get me a level 2 hostess set that I really wanted. I never asked him how he worked out that deal with my demonstrator, I just said thank you very much and off to stamp I went.

Hoping you get what you want,
Teresa

I just had to do "it"!

Tonight was the Punch art class, and if you measure fun in the amount of mess that was made tonight, well let's just say we had a BLAST! After everyone left, I started to clean up my stamp room, and then that's when it happened, everything spiraled out of control when I saw "it". There "it" was....my Elegant Lines embossing folder, just lonely and laying on the table. Well, I tried to ignore it, really I did! Now, just as there began to be more evidence that underneath all that scrap paper and pile of punches, there really was a table under there, "it" was now staring at me. Okay, I know I needed to get ready for bed, but I just couldn't....I had to stamp just one card with that folder. I promise my next post will not be of the Elegant Lines embossing folder!

I stamped all afternoon with my friend Arlene! She was making some really cute card sets for Christmas gifts for her co-workers. I was getting ready for my Holiday Stamp a Stack on Thursday night and for my punch art class Tuesday night. I can't wait to the punch art class, it is always so much fun. Tomorrow we'll be making critters with the different size circle punches that SU has available for your purchasing pleasure! We'll make kids, snowmen, santa, elves, witch, bat and Dracula. I can't share pictures yet, I don't want to spoil the surprise for the Punch Club Members, check back on Wed. to see pictures of what we made. I can share the pictures of the Stamp a Stack Chrisatmas cards we'll be making On Thursday night. There are still spaces available for this class, so if you would like to join us and make these cards please RSVP by Wed, 10/13 @ 5 PM.

A few of my favorite things!

I just love the Elegant Soiree designer paper and the Elegant lines embossing folder. I just don't think a day goes by that I don't use one of these products. They are so fabulous, if you don't have these, you should say this out loud: "Self, why don't I have these?" Listen close because, I'm sure your "self" will say, "I'm not sure, I told you to order it a long time ago! Every time I use these my "self" asks me. "Why haven't you bought us that Always Elegant Stamp Set?" I'm thinking "self" needs to get a job to we can afford all these goodies. This card uses the fabulous Elegant Soiree paper, (117163), embossing folder (119277), soft suede card stock(115318), very vanilla card stock(101650), and basic pearls(119247).

I'm so glad last week is over!

I haven't posted anything in a whole week. That means I haven't had time to stamp much, and that I'm not happy. Those of you who attend my classes and clubs know that I stamp everyday, whether I need to or not! I did stamp Monday night, I had to make my swaps for my monthly demonstrator event. The demonstrators in my group all get together once a month, hang out, make cards and share. This is an amazing event and I always look forward
seeing everybody and what they have done over the last month. Here are a few of the cards from our swap.
Happy Stamping!

It's not pink! Really it's not!

Now those of you who know me know that I think in pink! I love pink flowers, pink shirts, pink flamingos, well let's keep this short and just say I love anything pink. When my co-worker approached me to make a sweet 16 birthday card, I naturally said , sure I can do it, you want it to be pink right? After a minutes hesitation, she said, "actually, I was wanting it to be purple". My heart fell down to my knees, sweat was popping up in all the wrong places, I swallowed hard and squeaked, sure, when do you need it by? Can you have it by Monday 9/27 she asked? Sure, I said and wandered off. How do you make a special moment card and it not be PINK! That was on Thursday, I thought purple, and I thought, more purple.....finally, I was out of time! I just had to make this special card in purple.... after much purple procrastination here it is!

I've been Stampin' most of the day!

Today has been one of those fun fabulous Stampin' Days! A couple of my friends dropped by to stamp and hang out! It was so much fun! Here are my 2 favorite cards from today.

The 1st card is made using the stamp set Autumn Slendor (#116503) using the Rock and Roll technique, more mustard card stock (#100946), textured river rock card stock(#119944), whisper white cardstock (#100730), ink pads, peach parfait, crumb cake and poppy parade.

The Christmas card is made with the stamp set Bells & Boughs (pg 19 of the Holiday mini # 121142) using the Vintage Wallpaper texture plate (#120175) with wild wasabi card stock with the 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (#109052) and wild wasabi stamp pad , real red ink pad, and the pear pizzazz ink pad with blender pens. The final touch was made using Multipurpose liquid glue (#110755) with Dazzling Diamonds (a girls' best friend #102023) Glitter.

Please contact me if you have any questions about these super fun cards.

Watercolor Class

Here's a card from my water color class last night. We had a very relaxing time aqua painting this card with some fall colors ( it is still in the 90's here, but surely fall is coming soon).
We ran watercolor paper (#105019) thru the big shot with the Manhattan flower embossing folder(#114517).
Then colored it with aqua painters (#103954) and reinkers Daffodil Delight and Tango Tangerine. To put this card together, we mounted the water color paper on Tangerine Tango card stock and mounted that on a card base of Daffodil Delight.

This card looks hard but this was super easy. I heard someone say "I'm keeping this card for myself".

Happy Stampin'

Get Well Veronica!

Wow, my friend Veronica is really sick with a nasty cold. She recently hosted a Stampin' Up party and got 2 hostess sets and $65 in free merchandise from her party. Her big box of goodies arrived a few days ago and she didn't even have the energy to open it. Oh my goodness, how could this happen to such a nice talented person as Veronica? Knowing how much she loved Stampin' Up, I was sure she wasn't going to make it, since that box of really cool, neato SU stuff was unopened. I jumped in my little VW bug, went to the store bought several different kinds of juice/Gatorade and went over to make sure it wasn't so.....yep there she was a box of unopened free stuff, and looking kinda sickly...well, I gave her lots of fluids, opened up that box of FREE stuff and then it happened.....she seemed to feel better. I'm sure it was my imagination, but when I left she was fondling one of her many free stamp sets and smiling. Can't wait for her to get well so "we"(as in me and her) can play with her new toys. When I got home I was inspired to make these Get Well Cards! Now, to decide which one to send her. Get Well Veronica!
